Authorised companies are companies incorporated in Mauritius for the purpose of doing business primarily outside of Mauritius.  These companies are managed and controlled in a jurisdiction outside of Mauritius where they hold a tax residency certificate. As they are not considered resident in Mauritius for tax purposes, they are not liable to tax in Mauritius nor able to qualify for double taxation treaty relief.

Authorised companies are suited for trading, holding and managing private assets.
